How Our Internet Service Works:

Providing custom and professional landscape master plans to homeowners, homebuilders, nurseries, and landscape contractors around the country is a feature that differentiates LandscapePlan.com from other landscape architectural firms. And because we know that everyone is going to have different needs and ideas for what their project might look like, we offer a variety of optional services for each landscape master plan that we prepare so that your plan, designed by our landscape architects, will suit your exact needs.

Whether you are a homeowner with a landscape renovation project to undertake or a home builder/landscape contractor with a client that needs a professionally designed plan prepared, our process has been designed to allow you to have a great amount of input into choosing the elements to be included in your plan as well as the placement of those elements. And perhaps the most beneficial part of our plans, and something you will never get anywhere else, is the flexibility we give you when it comes to choosing your plant material. Because of our patent pending process, we can give you optional choices when it comes to selecting the specific plants for your yard to not only help you stay within your budget but also to let your personal tastes be reflected in your plan.

The first question we typically hear is, "how can you do this over the internet without coming to our house?" The simple answer is because of our experience and our extremely thorough process. Our landscape architects have dealt with almost every situation imaginable regarding the design of a landscape master plan, and because of our years of experience, we have designed a process that makes preparing Internet landscape plans as simple as if we were your next door neighbor.

What makes our service unique and typically less expensive than other landscape architects because we allow you to collect the data for us. Our process guides you through simple step by step instructions on how you can provide us with pictures of your yard, a copy of your property survey, and answers to our questionnaire. The questionnaire has been designed to allow you to simply and systematically provide us with your likes, dislikes, and your "wish list" of elements that you would like for us to include in your design (i.e. a swimming pool, a new deck, retaining walls, ponds and waterfalls, etc.). We then prepare the landscape master plan based on your desires and our professional knowledge of what makes a good design.

The next statement we often hear is, "But our yard is different because it has drainage problems. You will need to come out to see our property." The fact is that almost every yard has drainage issues or problems that need to be addressed. Because you will be providing us with photographs of your property from locations that we suggest, our landscape architects will be able to see factors such as slopes that might impact the design. We also include a phone consultation so that the landscape architect preparing your plan will have the opportunity to discuss your project with you in detail. After that, should additional questions or uncertainties arise, we are not shy about picking up the phone and asking you for additional information or feedback. Keeping an open line of communication makes our service that much more detailed and tailored to your needs.

What you can expect to receive:

With our service, you will receive 4 blueprint copies of a true landscape master plan prepared for your residence. Our basic master plan can include the design of driveways, sidewalks, trees, shrubs, ground covers, lawns, and suggested locations for lighting, fencing, and drainage elements such as catch basins and underground drainage piping.

For an additional fee, we offer an extended landscape master plan which includes any or all of the previously mentioned elements as well as additional features such as a new deck or multi-level deck, a patio, swimming pool and spa, water features such as ponds/waterfalls/stream/rock creek beds, retaining walls, parking areas, sports courts, and children's play equipment areas. In this way, all elements in your yard will be planned comprehensively and not appear to be segmented or misplaced. We will then provide you with typical construction details on how to install your plants, a notebook with color photographs and information about each plant that we suggest you might use, and for homeowner's, we even provide a photo-realistic image showing what your house could look like once the plants were installed and mature.

Fees:

The prices for our plans are based on a flat fee system and are determined by the type of plan and elements you desire to have included. Please refer to our navigation bar and click on the appropriate link for the program that best fits your description.
